Aquitaine
07:08
|
|||
Oh Queen Alienor,
Queen of the Atlantic shores
Now married to Henry she rules us no more
Once united something was ignited
Now separated by this cruel war
Oh Aquitaine,
when will I see your fair shores again?
'cause soon I’ve got to go – 'cause I am a Huguenot
Eleanor married an English King
Soon we lost the Kingdom of the Angevin
A kingdom that stretched across two lands
An empire that turned to sand
Aquitaine, in the mists of time
I can see the town of my birth
Aquitaine, one day I'll return
and find the long lost mirth. Aquitaine!
Oh Aquitaine, when will I see
your fair shores again?
'cause soon I’ve got to go –
'cause I am a Huguenot
Oh Aquitaine, when will I see
your bastides again?
I miss my claret vine I miss my faithful wife
Queen Alienor, betrayed by your own sons
Now imprisoned, you cry in Chinon
Far from your wild Garonne
And the proud Dordogne castles,
The towers of war
Queen Alienor, Queen of Kings,
Queen of hearts
Queen of the troubadours, Queen of wisdom
I miss your heydays of arts and freedom
Your son Richard is no more
Aquitaine, in the mists of time
I can see the town of my birth
Aquitaine, one day I'll return
and find the long lost mirth
Aquitaine!

‘My name is Doctor Beyond. Welcome to The Asylum of Musical Delusion. No one has ever escaped. This island is an ideal place for such an institution, particularly in castle, high on a mountain. These are the patients you’ll be looking after. This ward houses our most dangerous inmates. They’re mainly incurable. These poor souls suffer from what is known as ‘Severe Musical Delusion Syndrome’.
(Opening of a cell door – the disturbing wailing of a madman can be heard). ‘Give me a recording contract, please! I’ve written another song!!’ (The door slams shut)
‘You see how pitiful they are – he believes his singing is like a chorus of Angels.’
‘That’s what these delusionals are like – they can persuade themselves their music is good, but they can’t persuade anyone else. Beware, though, some have the power of hypnosis, which we must resist. They must wear straight jackets and we’ve all had all recording equipment and instruments taken from them. We get them referred from studios, bands, record companies and friends. Now this patient is showing signs of recovery.’
Footsteps stop, sound of a some pipes playing can be heard, cell shutter is opened)
‘He’s responded to treatment, he’s becoming more realistic, so we‘ve taken his straight jacket off and allowed him a set of simple pipes to play.’
He plays the pipes as he looks out through the bars of the cell window. As you can hear, he might be fit enough, one day, to be released back into the community.’
(shutter is closed)
‘Still, be careful when you go into any cell, don’t look the patients in the eye and keep heavy sedation at hand. If they can, they’ll try to trap you into their musical nightmare …’
Chorus:
Prisonnier des rêves brisez vos chaînes!
échappez de la tour ancienne
Prisoner of Dreams it’s a world of fantasy
Prisoner of Dreams somehow you must find the key
Prisoner, Prisoner of Dreams, Prisoner, Prisoner of Dreams
Welcome to the asylum of musical delusion,
we’re here to make you well
We help those who are trapped in an illusion,
only we can break the spell
Chorus:
Chorus
On a faraway island on in a castle of dreams,
The prisoner looks out from his cell
On his magic pipes he plays a tune,
Hoping the friendly dragon will rescue him soon
Chorus
Deep in the woods the friendly dragon dwells,
Thousands of years have passed
Only waiting to break the spell,
There are so many stories to tell
Chorus

Drive Out The Demons
07:17
|
|||
As smoke vanisheth, so let them vanish away
Like wax melteth, so let them die away
Get rid of small talk, Get rid of brainwashing
Out mental demons ,
Out creators of superficiality
Out preachers of integrism,
Vade sermonis subversores
Vade animi daemones,
Dictators of all speeches, Stop deceiving us
Let’s share our hearts,
In peaceful harmony!
Drive out the demons, Tear off the curtain
The sounds of silence, Fly like a falcon
Dream like a cloud in the sky
Drive out the demons
Open up and free your mind
Drop out the chains of your life
Let peace and love flow in your mind
Drive out the demons, the demons
Don’t get away from me, Fight for harmony
Won’t let chaos surround me
Won’t let desert surround me
Drive out the demons
Tear off the curtain,
The sounds of silence
Swim like a dolphin,
Run like a fox in the grass
Drive out the demons
Open up and free your mind…
Drive out the demons,
Your demons, my demons!

Mad Laughter
05:43
|
|||
Alone in the night with a bag
Madmen laughing in the sky
Wildness in the blue grass
Biting his feet to the bone
Alone in a winter far
Searching a shooting star
The child cries, lost into the dark
He wants to fly from this car.
Madmen laughing in the sky
Why do angels cry?
Can’t you see that I need love?
Can’t you care about me?
Can’t you see that I need love?
Can’t you care about me?
Smoke fills his head to the blind
He cannot see with his eyes
He doesn’t know where he’s going
Madmen laughing in the sky
Wildness in the blue grass
Can’t you see that I need love?
Can’t you care about me?
Can’t you see that I need love?
Can’t you care about me?
They wanted to rule the world
Total control of feelings
They wanted to rule the world
Total control, total control
Madmen laughing in the sky
Can’t you see that I need love?
Can’t you care about me?...

The Silver Key
04:17
|
|||
I’m searching for silver I’m searching for gold
I hope that I find it before I get too old
Before I get too old
You know that for so long I’ve been in the cold
I’m looking for ways I can get back to the fold
Get back to the fold
I can see my prize I can reach out and hold it
I can see through the lies The story’s mine,
So many times I’ve told it
I’m a Silver Hunter and I’m searching for gold
The Silver Key will set me free
Gonna find it before I get old
One final quest one final test
I’m searching for something that I’ve got to find
It’s the silver key that will unlock my mind
That will unlock my mind
Although I’m blindfold my eyes can still see
The answer’s somewhere right in front of me
Right in front of me
I can see my prize I can reach out and hold it
I can see through the lies The story’s mine,
So many times I’ve told it
I’m a Silver Hunter and I’m searching for gold
The Silver Key will set me free
Gonna find it before I get old,
One final quest one final test
We have lost the key to the gate of dreams
With the Silver Key we’ll unlock the gate
And find what lies behind it

Ascension
04:34
|
|||
It’s not surprising people’s spirits are rising everywhere
They’re reaching out for the obscure an end to their despair
The establishment has no answers
Their music is for mindless dancers
But we want to use our brains
This world is driving us insane
Ascension to a new dimension
Reach a higher plain
Ascension vers une nouvelle dimension
Où les choses ne sont pas les mêmes
There’s an unseen world that we can share
we know that something is out there
We’re trying to reach another stage
we can feel the coming of another age
The establishment has no answers
Their music is for mindless dancers
But we want to use our brains
This world is driving us insane
Ascension to a new dimension
Reach a higher plain
Ascension vers une nouvelle dimension
Où les choses ne sont pas les mêmes
We’re seeking invention that is our intention
We’re seeking a mention,
We’re seeking attention
The establishment has no answers
Their music is for mindless dancers
But we want to use our brains
This world is driving us insane
Ascension to a new dimension, Reach a higher plain...

Fly Above The Storm
04:11
|
|||
Can somebody take us higher?
Far above the mire
To hear the heavenly choir
Find something to inspire
We’ll fly above the storm
So high above the storm
And find a love that’s warm
A life that is transformed
Fly above the storm
High above the storm
Our burdens weigh us down
And drag us to the ground
Lift us with heavenly sounds
That’s where the answer’s found
We’ll fly above the storm
So high above the storm
And find a love that’s warm
A life that is re-born
Fly above the storm
High above the storm

Lyre Bird
03:57
|
|||
Kingdom of blue fairies,
Stretching in front of me
Princess of all my dreams,
Teasing my poor spirit
Float, lyre-bird, Fly me away
Float, lyre-bird,For my girl
Float, lyre-bird, Fly us away,
Float, lyre-bird,For our love!
Lyre-bird of all the seas,
Flying above the trees
Please tell me how to please,
This girl of fantasy
Float, lyre-bird, Fly me away,
Float, lyre-bird,For my girl
Float, lyre-bird, Fly us away,
Float, lyre-bird,For our love!

The Man In The Moon
03:16
|
|||
The man in the moon
He came down too soon
He asked his way to Norwich
He went by the south
And burnt his heart
With your cold language
The sky is dark
And despair on the horizon
Chorus
The man in the moon
He came down too soon
He asked his way to Norwich
He went by the south.
Away from those black walls
Those gloomy streets, Starless and lost,
He’s just a shadow getting free.
Chorus

Universal Fromage
07:37
|
|||
Is it just a fantasy, the wide world is made of Brie?
Is it just a fairy tale, the moon is made of Wensleydale?
N'en faites pas tout un fromage ! For all is made of cheese
Universal Fromage, Universal Fromage (oooh)
Am I a Rock ‘n’ Roller, ‘Cos I eat progonzola?
Am I a Rock ‘n’ Roller, ‘Cos I eat goody gooda?
Universal Fromage, cheesing the human age,
Universal Fromage , Universal Fromage
Never brie cheesed off
Looking at all those pretty cheesecakes
Wearing their yellow cheesecloth
Goat not to gaze cheeseparing them
Hey fellas have you heard? Your brain's made out of Camembert
Hey fellas have you heard the news? Girls are made out of Stilton Blue
N'en faites pas tout un fromage ! For all is made of cheese
Universal Fromage, Universal Fromage (oooh)
Am I a Rock ‘n’ Roller ‘Cos I eat rockonzola?
Am I a Rock ‘n’ Roller ‘Cos I eat creamy rockfort?
Universal Fromage across the milky way,
Universal Fromage Universal Fromage
Universal Fromage, Gruyère through the space, Universal Fromage!
